Pre-conference
Pre-conference bootcamps take place the day before the conference proper and have a strong technical, hands-on focus. This year there are four full day (6 hour) sessions with 10-20 people. Participants will bring their laptops, other facilities like Internet access, power outlets and other computer support are available on spot. Bootcamps are centred on tools that are readily available on the Internet as open source or web services. The technical backgrounds of the participants can include a mix of programming, systems and metadata experts.
Pre-conference will have four full day tracks:
- jQuery, a very helpful Javascript library / Uwe Dierolf
- Digital Curation 101: it's the Context, Stupid / Patrick Hochstenbach
- Your Website is your API - How to integrate your Library into the Web of Data using RDFa / Adrian Pohl and Felix Ostrowski
- Extending your library with indexing technologies / Joost van Ingen
